EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DISCLAIMER

Last updated: 7 September 2026

1. Educational Purpose
The content, products, courses, videos, ebooks, worksheets, quizzes, frameworks, applications and other resources made available by Lourens Breytenbach are provided for general educational, informational and self-directed use. They are intended to help adults and learners think, plan, communicate and practise more effectively. They do not constitute a promise of a particular academic, behavioural, emotional, relationship or professional result.

2. Professional Boundaries
Lourens Breytenbach is an educator and author. He does not present himself through this Platform as a psychiatrist, psychologist, psychometrist, medical practitioner, therapist, counsellor, social worker, attorney, financial adviser or other regulated professional. Nothing on the Platform creates a therapist-client, doctor-patient, attorney-client, counsellor-client or other regulated professional relationship. Nothing constitutes medical, psychological, legal, financial, therapeutic, diagnostic or treatment advice. References to attention, motivation, confidence, stress, anxiety, sleep, behaviour, family communication or wellbeing are educational commentary and practical guidance, not diagnosis or treatment.

3. Seek Appropriate Help When Needed
Users remain responsible for obtaining advice from a suitably qualified professional when circumstances require it. A parent or guardian should seek appropriate help where a teenager shows persistent distress, significant functional difficulty, a risk of harm, possible abuse, a health concern or a need for formal educational support. If anyone may be in immediate danger or at risk of self-harm or harm to another person, contact the appropriate emergency service or qualified crisis service in your location. Do not rely on a website, email, quiz, application or automated response in an emergency.

4. Use by Minors
Resources used by a person under 18 should be selected and supervised by a responsible adult. The adult should consider the teenager’s age, maturity, circumstances, educational needs and any advice already given by a school or qualified professional. No resource should be used to shame, threaten, label, diagnose or punish a teenager. Diagnostic-style tools are intended to open a constructive discussion and suggest possible next steps, not to establish a fixed identity or clinical conclusion.

5. No Guarantee of Results
Learning and behaviour are influenced by many factors, including prior knowledge, teaching quality, health, sleep, environment, opportunity, consistent practice and individual circumstances. For this reason, no specific mark, grade, examination result, level of motivation, habit change, improvement in family communication or other outcome is guaranteed. Testimonials, examples and case studies describe individual experiences or illustrative situations. They are not promises that another user will obtain the same result.

6. Accuracy and Currency
Reasonable care is taken in preparing content, but educational research, technology, policies and professional guidance can change. Content may contain errors or may not suit every curriculum, jurisdiction, learner or circumstance. Users should verify important information against current official sources, school requirements and qualified professional advice where appropriate.

7. Applications, Quizzes and AI-Assisted Output
Application and quiz results depend on the answers supplied and on the limits of the framework. Artificial-intelligence-assisted material may generate plausible but incorrect, incomplete or unsuitable output. Use adult judgement. Check dates, calculations, quotations, sources and important recommendations before acting on them. No automated output should be used as the sole basis for a decision affecting a learner’s health, safety, legal rights, finances, school placement, accommodations or formal support.

8. Personal Views and Institutional Independence
All content reflects the independent views, educational experience, commentary and original frameworks of Lourens Breytenbach unless otherwise stated. It does not represent the official policy, position or endorsement of Hoërskool Roodepoort, the Gauteng Department of Education, the Department of Basic Education, a school governing body, an employer or any other institution with which Lourens Breytenbach is or has been associated. References to a school, public body, curriculum or third-party organisation are for context or commentary and do not imply partnership, approval or endorsement.

9. Third-Party Resources
Links, quotations, product references and embedded content may lead to third-party material. They are provided for convenience or educational context. We do not control the independent accuracy, availability, security or practices of third parties and do not endorse every view expressed on an external site.

10. Acceptance of Responsibility
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that educational resources require judgement and appropriate application. You remain responsible for the decisions you make, the way you use the material and whether you seek additional support. This Disclaimer must be read together with the Terms of Use and Sale and the Privacy and Cookie Notice. Nothing in it excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
